The “Q1 2022 – You’re sooo Swiss” competition is now opened. You have until 31st of March to illustrate what Swissness is for you.

The “Q4 2021 – Make us hungry (or thirsty)!” competition is now closed. The result will be announced at our PICZ monthly meeting in March.

The “Q3 2020 – Long Exposure” competition is now closed. The result will be announced at our PICZ monthly meeting in March.

Frequency

Each quarter PICZ (the International Photo Club of Zurich) organise a new competition.

Themes

The themes vary and try to cover a broad scope of subject, style, influences and techniques. Our competitions aim at stimulating your photography skills and interest. It also gives you the chance to compare your subjects interpretation with the one of the other participants.

 

Prizes

2 prizes are granted for each quarterly contest:

The PICZ Jury prize: an external jury composed by professional photographers (jury composition available here) evaluates the submissions and awards a “jury prize”. Our jury evaluation criteria are : respect of the theme, creativity, message/genuineness, technical quality of the picture.

The public prize: based on the image that has gathered the highest number of votes from our members. The voting process is fully manage online and the live result can be observed in real time

Fee

The participation is free for all registered PICZ members. A participation of 5CHF is requested for non-member to participate (contest payment page available here)
